Technical advancement of society is the key to the development and progress of its economy. This is the main reason that gave birth to the Philippine School of Technology (PST). It was established by a group of people having a common goal of providing affordable technical education. Its first main campus was located at San Pedro Street, Davao City. PST was later renamed PHILIPPINE COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY (PCT) in 1993. its main campus has been transferred and is now located at Garden Park Village, Bajada, Davao City with a branch in Calinan District, Davao City

Through the years, there has been an increased emphasis on technology education that is one of the tasks in nation building. In answer to this call, Gener A. Balili, Ph.D., founder of the Philippine College of Technology (PCT), aims to provide not only affordable but also quality education to cater to the needs of people of all ages to make them technologically equipped and aware in order to participate in the socio-economic progress of the nation.

PCT has never stopped in improving its curricula and designing new relevant courses to address the technical and educational needs of Davao and the Region XI community.
